From a vineyard on the coast that is an “Island in the Fog”. Very expensive fruit that is no longer available. Steeply terraced with elevation, these grapes exhibit some serious power. Very fruit forward. Very extracted yet varietally correct. This is a Cab lovers Pinot.
100% Pinot, unfined and unfiltered. 100% new French Oak, 3 different coopers – 3 different toast levels. 100% delicious.
Black cherry, black currant, earth and stones. Big fruit but nice acidity. Amazingly long finish.
